The zodiac traditions of astrology are more than one and each one is as interesting as it can be. It is not difficult to find similar features between the different zodiac traditions of astrology. Compared to the Indian and the Western astrological systems, the Chinese tradition of astrology is very different. The equator is divided by the12 signs of the zodiac, instead of the sky. Every sign tallies with one of the 12 double hours in a day, and again to one of the 12 months in a year. The Chinese tradition of astrology is a system, which bases itself on the 5 elements of Chinese Cosmology. This Chinese tradition shares many similar features with the astrological systems existing in Thailand, Vietnam, Japan and other countries of East Asia. It has a long history and is very popular in many countries. It has also gone through a number of changes and developments.
